Dort hat er 1976 seine Lehre als Orthop\u00e4diemechaniker begonnen und suchte als schwuler Mann Anschluss in der Stadt. In Cottbus gab es damals noch den Verein \u201eLebensart\u201c. Der Wunsch und die Sehnsucht von damals ist bis heute geblieben. Daher engagiert er sich beim CSD Cottbus e. V. und m\u00f6chte dazu beitragen, dass eine breite Plattform der queeren Bewegung entsteht und niemand einsam zur\u00fcckbleiben muss. F\u00fcr ihn ist es wichtig Orte zu schaffen und zu erhalten, wo Begegnung m\u00f6glich ist und sich Menschen sicher und geborgen f\u00fchlen k\u00f6nnen. Uwe koordiniert f\u00fcr den CSD Cottbus ehrenamtlich das Projekt \u201eWir f\u00fcr Akzeptanz\u201c und den Schwulen-Stammtisch und engagiert als Vorstandsmitglied im AIDS-Hilfe Lausitz e. V.<br><br>Elke Renate Steiner, geboren 1971 in Bremen, lebt als freie Comic- und Event-Zeichnerin in Berlin. Sie studierte in M\u00fcnster Freie Kunst und Visuelle Kommunikation. 1999 erhielt sie ein Stipendium des J\u00fcdischen Museums Rendsburg. Artist Residencies in Deutschland, Finnland und Estland folgten. Elke Renate Steiner gibt Workshops und Seminare, u. a. in Erlangen, Berlin, Cottbus, Tallinn, Narva und St. Petersburg.
